Description: The intent of this class is to build up students' basic skills, knowledge base, and confidence in math with
an eye toward preparation for higher level math classes. This class focuses on basic skills in number sense, algebraic
thinking, and geometry. Working with fractions, decimals, and percents is a major portion of the course. Problem solving
is also emphasized to encourage higher order thinking skills.

Description: Pre-Algebra is an important bridge between the abstract nature of Algebra and the more concrete content of arithmetic
in the younger grades. This course has a general goal of moving students toward a more abstract way of thinking. Additionally,
the foundations of Algebra start here, and are essential to master before moving on to the next step.

Algebra 1 is usually taken by advanced 8th graders or on grade level 9th graders.
Prerequisite: Pre-Algebra
Description: Algebra 1 is the foundational math course for all higher level math classes. The concepts in Algebra pop up
regularly throughout all other high school math classes. A traditional curriculum is be used that covers everything you
would expect to find in a standard Algebra course.

Geometry is usually taken by advanced 9th graders or on grade level 10th graders.
Prerequisite: Algebra 1
Description: In Geometry, students use a much different type of thinking than what they are used to up to this point. Fundamentally,
Geometry is the study of shapes and their properties. However, students regularly use higher order thinking skills when proving
theorems and thinking through complex problems.

Algebra II is usually taken by advanced 10th graders or on grade level 11th graders.
Prerequisite: Algebra 1 (Note: Algebra II is typically taken after Geometry and we strongly recommend not skipping Geometry in order to take Algebra II. However, Geometry is not a prerequisite for this course at this time.)
Description: This class is an extension/continuation of what was started in Algebra 1. Students continue their study of Algebraic
principles but also explore more complex mathematical concepts. Pre-Calculus is typically the next class after completing this
course.
Four different pricing plans are available to provide more flexibility. Generally, the pricing plans are distinguished
by the frequency of LIVE sessions and the amount of feedback the teacher is able to offer. Please review the comparison
chart on the
Pricing page for details.
IMPORTANT: New customers can sign up for a
2-week trial period
in which to try out the class. There are no obligations during that 2-week window. After the trial period, a full

This could be a perfect solution for homeschool co-ops or public/private schools with students far above or below grade level!
Classes are a great option for parents who are looking to outsource the teaching of math. Oftentimes, once children reach a certain point in their learning, parents feel uneasy about their ability to provide quality instruction in math. Sometimes kids just need to hear a different voice. Whatever the situation, LIVE Online Math offers a variety of classes to meet the needs of upper elementary, middle school, and high school students. Details about specific class offerings are below.

Description: This class is a custom-created class that will operate in two parts: Pre-Algebra and Algebra. In the Pre-Algebra
portion, students will go through a distilled version of Pre-Algebra having LIVE sessions 3 times per week. In the Algebra portion, the
primary mode of instruction will become video-based. Students will watch the videos and do assignments, projects, quizzes, tests,
etc. The videos will be supplemented by one live session each week. This format allows the students to work at their
own pace, while still providing structure and accountability via the weekly live session.
