This course has given me
the structure I needed for my
daughter's math education.
She really enjoys learning
from the videos. There are
even hands-on activities that
she loves, and the real-life
applications make math
come alive. I'm truly amazed
at how much math she has
learned this year!

Description: In Geometry, students use a much different type of thinking than what they are used to up to this point.  Fundamentally, Geometry is the study of shapes and their properties.  However, students regularly use higher order thinking skills when proving theorems and thinking through complex problems.  Additionally, students often work together to prove geometric theorems.
Geometry
Description: This Pre-Calculus course is a bridge between Calculus and the common traditional high school math series (Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra II). There is a heavy emphasis on Trigonometry and several topics that were introduced in Algebra II will be extended here. Students who successfully complete this course will be able to move on to Calculus either at the high school or college level.
Description: Calculus starts students on a different branch of math than the strictly algebraic one they are used to. There is a heavy emphasis on functions and an extension of trigonometry concepts that were introduced in Pre-Calculus. Additionally, there are plenty of real life applications presented. Main concepts include limits, integration, differentiation, differential equations, optimization, areas under a curve, and more.
Description: This class is an extension/continuation of what was started in Algebra 1. Students continue their study of algebraic principles, but also explore more complex mathematical concepts including logarithms, conic sections, and advanced polynomial functions. Topics are explored algebraically and graphically.  Applying various mathematical models to real life situations is  emphasized throughout the course.

Important Information About These Courses:
There is technically not a formal video course offering for Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, or Calculus at this time.  However, all LIVE class sessions are recorded, so it is possible for a student to do those courses via the recorded sessions alone.  This could be a great fit if...

1.) The class schedules don't work out for you.
2.) You are looking for a lower cost option.
3.) Your student prefers working at his/her own pace.
